If Trump is elected again, don’t say people are ignorant or stupid. They are afraid.

Fear rarely asks, “What is true?” It asks, “Who will protect me?” And when people are afraid of losing their security, their identity, their country, their income, or the world they once knew, they may choose the person who speaks most strongly to that fear.

Calling them stupid will only deepen the division. Judgment does not heal fear; it feeds it.

If we really want to understand what is happening, perhaps the better question is not, “What is wrong with these people?” but, “What are they so afraid of?”

Because beneath anger, blame, and the need for an enemy, fear is often quietly asking to be seen.

And perhaps that is where change begins: not by hating those who are afraid, but by refusing to become afraid of them ourselves…by Gonny
