Sometimes I wonder…..
If I were Love, what would I think? What would I do?
I don’t think I would spend my days counting mistakes or reminding people of their past. I would never whisper, “You should have known better.” I would never close a door because someone stumbled along the way.
If I were Love, I would say:
“Come closer. You don’t have to earn Me. You never did.”
I would sit beside the lonely, hold the grieving without trying to rush away their tears, and gently remind those who carry guilt that guilt has never changed what they truly are. I would see beyond every story, every fear, every regret, because I would only recognize what is real.
If you laughed, I would laugh with you. If you cried, I would simply stay until your heart remembered how to smile again. I would never say, “I told you so.” I would only say, “I’m still here.”
And when you wondered if someone you love, now beyond your sight, still knows your love, I would whisper, “Love is never lost. How could Love lose itself?”
Perhaps that is why this little question is worth asking whenever life feels confusing:
If I were Love… what would I do now?
Maybe, just maybe, the answer has been quietly waiting in your heart all along. ![]()
