There is something both comforting and slightly shocking in Lesson 80.
It quietly says: you don’t have a hundred problems… you have only one.
At first, that may sound like a bad deal.
“Only one problem?” you might think. “Have you seen the world lately?”
But then comes the answer: That one problem has already been solved!
Not by effort. Not by improvement. But by TRUTH.
You see, the mind believes: “I am on my own. I am separate. I have to fix everything myself.” And from that belief, a whole parade of problems appears…..Money worries put on one costume, relationship struggles wear another, health issues, aging, time pressure, insecurity about the future…
all different faces, same actor quietly backstage whispering: you are alone.
And the ego is quite invested in keeping it that way.
It tells us : “Look there…another problem. And there…and there…”
Before you know it, your day is filled with small or big fires to put out.
No time to ask the one question that would undo them all:
What if I am not separate at all? What if I am not this body, this idea of being a separate self living in a dangerous world?
The ego prefers you busy. Busy fixing symptoms. Busy rearranging the furniture in a house (world) that, according to Truth, was never damaged.
The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, does something very different.
It doesn’t rush or panic. It simply whispers, almost with a smile:
“This is the same problem again… and the same answer is here.”
Imagine this in daily life:
You open YouTube and click on a message, immediately you know you don’t like it. You feel a small contraction in your chest. A familiar thought: Here we go again.
The ego jumps in immediately: “What should I say? How do I fix this? What if this goes wrong?”
And right there, a quiet alternative appears: This is not a new problem.
This is just another moment where I believe I am alone !
If I pause – even for a few seconds – I may feel something soften…a little space opened in my heart.
Lesson 80 invites a very practical shift. Not to deny what seems to happen, to recognize what it means. Every irritation, every worry, every fear becomes a doorway. Not to another solution out there, but to a remembrance within:
I am not separate…..I have not lost anything real…the answer is already here.
And this is where the quiet humor comes in, because we spend so much time trying to solve problems that, in truth, are just creative variations of the same misunderstanding.
It’s like changing outfits all day long and forgetting you are still the same person underneath.
At some point, you may even smile at it. “Oh… this again.”
Not with frustration, but with recognition.
Peace doesn’t wait for your life to become perfect. It simply waits for
you to stop believing you are separate.
And that… has already been given.
So today, when something “goes wrong,” you might try something new.
Just for a moment, pause…and ask yourself:
Is this really a different problem or the same old idea in a new costume? What if the answer is already here?
The answer is not in form, the answer is an experience of correction in the mind.
With love and light,
G.
