After my last article “God doesn’t know you exist”, quite a few people asked:
“Then… who on earth helps us?”
Excellent question. Let’s talk about that invisible Companion who seems to whisper from somewhere inside …the Holy Spirit.
What is the Holy Spirit?
Let’s start with what He is not.
He’s not a ghost in the religious sense, not an angel with wings, not even a beam of divine smoke sneaking into our head.
The Holy Spirit is the memory of Truth that God placed in our sleeping mind the very moment the Son of God began to dream of separation.
We could say, in modern language, He’s the Wi-Fi of God….
always on, always connected, but we still have to switch on our device, our WILLINGNESS ….to catch the signal !
He’s the Voice that never stopped speaking for Love, the inner GPS gently recalculating every detour we take, always whispering,
“Rerouting… this way back to peace.”
Why does He exist?
Because Love couldn’t let us wander without a map.
When the idea of separation arose, there had to be an Answer that would ensure the way Home could never be lost.
That Answer was not a punishment, but pure compassion, the instant correction within the dream.
So the Holy Spirit was born the very same “moment” the dream began.
He’s the bridge between Heaven and the dream world, the translator of Truth into symbols we can understand.
Is the Holy Spirit an energy? A thought? A person?
Let’s say He’s a Thought in the Mind of God that still echoes in the sleeping Son.
He’s Love translated into a form the dreamer can still hear.
Energy? Yes…..but not the type that lights our lamps; more the kind that lights our awareness.
We don’t need incense, chants or Wi-Fi passwords to reach Him.
We only need a moment of quiet willingness…a small pause in the noise of our own opinions and we’ll notice His presence as clarity, softness, sometimes even laughter.
What does He do?
He re-interprets everything the ego made.
Pain becomes a call for love.
Attack becomes fear begging to be understood.
Loss becomes an opportunity to remember that nothing real can be lost.
He doesn’t fix our dream…He helps us see that we are dreaming.
And when we realize that, the nightmare fades.
How do we unite with the Holy Spirit?
We don’t need to go anywhere.
We simply stop resisting His guidance.
Every time we choose peace instead of judgement, we’ve already joined Him.
Every sigh of forgiveness, every moment we laugh at our own seriousness, every act of kindness….that’s communion !
It’s not a holy trance, it’s remembering who walks beside us.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t shout; He waits until we’re quiet enough to hear Him.
He doesn’t demand worship; He invites cooperation.
He doesn’t fix our lives; He gently corrects our perception of them.
And when we truly listen, we realize that He’s not a separate Voice at all,
He is our real Mind, the part of us that never left God.
With love and light,
G.
