Sometimes I look at my foot.
The foot that has been walking with me faithfully since I was born.
The same foot!
Same toes, same bones, same shape. No amputations, no major accidents, no spare parts.
My nose is still my nose. My ears are still my ears.
Everything seems so obvious… until you really stop and think about it.
Of course, everything has changed a little over the years.
A wrinkle here, a little bend there. Gravity has its own ideas, too.
But in essence: it’s still the same foot that has carried me through life.
And inside me?
Well, that’s where real change happened.
Not in my true Self, which is unchangeable, perfect, and pure light, but in the way I think.
Thoughts are tricky. They are changeable, restless, and often quite sneaky.
Thankfully, you can learn to think differently.
As Master Teacher of the Endeavor Academy in Wisconsin Dells used to repeat:
“An untrained mind can accomplish nothing.”
And yes, I remember it clearly: years ago, there in that Academy, the great shift within me began. Not with fireworks and drum rolls, but with small, seemingly insignificant steps.
At first, it felt almost impossible.
My thought patterns were like rusty gears, creaking and groaning with every attempt to move them. But slowly, very slowly, cracks appeared.
Glimpses of freedom.
A different way of seeing.
And what once felt like an enormous mountain to climb is now just a friendly little hill.
Luckily, because I’m getting a bit older now too… haha.
Why do I write?
Because I have to write.
Not a “must” out of pressure, but a joyful “must,” born from passion.
When I write, time flies. It feels as if, for a while, I step outside of time.
Writing has become like breathing to me.
And behind that passion lies a simple hope:
That maybe, somewhere in the world, one person will read my words and feel a spark of light.
A little spark in the darkness.
A spark that eventually becomes a fire.
A fire that reminds: “You are not lost. You are Light.”
Because in the end, my dear friends,
you and I,
and my foot,
and your heart,
are One in the same Love.
Let’s keep sharing that Light together.
One step, one smile, one thought at a time.
With love and light,
G.
