Have you noticed how exhausting it has become to simply exist in today’s world? It’s an endless loop of fighting to prove we are right.
But look at where this has gotten us. We are more technologically connected than ever before, yet we feel more isolated, anxious, and deeply lonely.
The hard truth we are being invited to face is this: the war we see outside is simply a mirror of the war we carry inside. The idea that we are fundamentally separate from one another is the greatest illusion we’ve ever bought into. And it is the root of all our suffering.
That is why today, in the midst of all the noise and division, I am making a radical, quiet choice:
I choose Oneness. I choose Peace.
What does this actually mean in practice?
Choosing Oneness doesn’t mean I am blind to the pain in the world. It doesn’t mean I don’t stand up for what is right. But it means I refuse to believe the lie that my safety depends on your defeat. It means recognizing that the person I disagree with the most…the person who triggers my deepest frustration…is still inextricably linked to the same Source of life as I am.
Peace is not a passive state that will magically arrive when the world finally behaves and everyone agrees with us. Peace is a fierce, conscious decision we make within our own minds.
When we claim our Oneness, the heavy armor we carry drops to the floor. The desperate need to defend, attack, or judge simply melts away. We realize that an attack on another is always an attack on ourselves, and that by extending grace to others, we are the ones who are truly healed.
The world transforms not through endless arguing, but through individuals who have the courage to stop the cycle of separation in their own hearts. It starts with one mind deciding to drop the sword.
I choose Oneness. I choose Peace. ![]()
What would shift in your life today if you looked at the person or situation triggering you and silently reminded yourself: “We are not separate”?
With love and light,
G.
