Recently I found myself watching my own hands typing and I heard myself say: “My hands are typing what I say.”
But no… my head and hands are not doing this on their own. They broadcast what arises in Awareness!
We humans have been trained to think everything happens in the head.
As if there is a tiny office inside the skull with a tiny stressed-out employee sorting thoughts and managing emotions.
No wonder we feel tired.
But when I shift my attention one meter above my head, or behind my back, and look at myself from there… my body suddenly appears as what it actually is: a beautifully built receiver and transmitter, a robot powered by the Light I Am.
Especially when we feel well, we need to train ourselves to remember our Source, because when life becomes tough, we need a way out.
We need to feel our true strength.
Imagine a moment when someone you love becomes seriously ill.
Your chest tightens.
Your stomach drops, your head cannot think clearly.
(Chest, stomach, head… really?)
The world becomes foggy. Everything you learned seems to fall apart in an instant.
The teachings, the clarity, the peace… they all feel out of reach.
You are overwhelmed by fear and sadness, and the ego whispers:
“See? All that spiritual stuff was just theory.”
This is the moment this article is written for.
This is the moment the tiny shift into Awareness becomes a lifeline instead of a concept.
Try this gently.
Instead of drowning inside the emotion, take one small step back,
not away from the person you love, but away from the storm inside your mind………Just one breath of distance.
And notice something simple but profound: this fear is appearing in Awarenes, and not in my chest, stomach or head !
You are not inside the fear.
You are the space in which the fear appears.
Yes, the body shakes and tears come, but You…the real You…..are the Awareness that c h o s e fear instead of Love, and now You are
noticing the result of that choice.
When this is remembered, even for three seconds, something loosens.
You are no longer swallowed by the emotion.
You see it as a signal coming through your inner radio..intense, yes,
but not your identity.
It doesn’t mean you stop caring.
It means you stop collapsing.
And suddenly a new kind of compassion appears, one that ACIM calls true perception.
You see the situation without letting the ego turn it into a personal tragedy.
You can love more clearly, because you are no longer trying to hold the entire universe together with your body.
You realize:
These are waves passing through the ocean I Am.
And in that Awareness, something opens… a strength that is not of the body.
The body remains the radio, the emotions remain the stations,
and You remain the Awareness experiencing them.
From that place, forgiveness comes easily, and compassion flows naturally.
You see that even the panic was just another station the ego prefers
and you gently stop tuning into it.
This is the real gift.
Awareness is not a spiritual escape.
It is the opposite.
It is the place from which you can face anything in this world with grace instead of fear.
The body keeps typing, driving, crying, holding someone’s hand.
But now you know that You..the real You, are not the body.
You are the Light that moves it.
And that discovery feels like coming home.
“I am not a body. I am free.”
