Bashar (channeled by Darryl Anka) tells us that we are not simply reading one book cover to cover. Instead, we flip through millions of books every second, so fast that it feels like a single continuous story.
Imagine standing in front of a gigantic library. Every book on every shelf describes a complete universe. In one book you had coffee this morning, in another you decided on tea, in another you never even woke up in this body at all.
This is what he calls shifting realities. Our consciousness does not move through time and space. It simply selects, moment by moment, which page of which book to experience next. Space and time are the illusion that all those pages line up neatly like a film strip.
So why does this matter? Because it gives a new meaning to choice. Each time we choose love instead of fear, forgiveness instead of judgment, we shift to a different shelf in the library. We literally step into a version of the world where the vibration of love is real and active.
Bashar says we do this billions of times per second.
A Course in Miracles whispers the same truth more quietly:
Time is not real. Only Love is real.
Let’s play with an example.
You’re sitting in a yellow water taxi, cruising across the Maas River in Rotterdam. The wind is wild, and the boat bounces cheerfully over the waves. Suddenly, the boat jerks…a splash of water hits your face. You can feel your body tensing: annoyance, impatience, maybe even fear.
And here comes the magic moment.
You have a choice.
You can stay in the version of reality where this moment is “unpleasant,” where you blame the wind or the driver or the day itself.
Or….click!….you shift.
You laugh. You breathe. You look at the city skyline and remember you’re alive, and this, too, is part of the dance. You’ve jumped to another timeline. The splash is still there, but it now belongs to a different reality, one where you’re relaxed, curious, and free.
In that instant, you didn’t change the outer situation.
You changed the chooser.
And that changes everything.
It’s like a cosmic video game: each “Yes” to love is like pressing the magic button that loads a new level. You don’t drag reality behind you …you swap discs.
The Course tells us: I am not a body, I am free.
That is the ultimate shift.
We are not bound to one fragile storyline;we are Consciousness itself,
forever free to choose.
So next time life seems heavy, try smiling at the idea that you might
simply be one tiny blink away from a lighter universe.
You don’t need to travel across galaxies or wait lifetimes.
The portal is always here, always now.
And if you listen closely, you might even hear the turning of the pages.
With love and light,
G.
