Salvation Comes from My One Self

Today’s lesson takes us straight to the heart of our inner conflict. No detours. No distractions. Just straight through the fog of the ego. The Course says it plainly: “Salvation comes from my one Self.”

No plural. No choices. One Self. One truth. One path to peace.

One Self… and yet I feel like two

We all know the feeling: like there are two versions of ourselves walking around. A kind, loving version and a cranky one. A spiritual self that meditates in the morning, and a chaotic one that snaps at the neighbor in the afternoon. A peaceful soul in one mirror, a tangled mess of thoughts in the next.

The Course gently , but clearly, says:

“You experience yourself as two.”

That explains the exhaustion of trying to make peace within a divided mind. It’s like mediating a lifelong negotiation between two extremes. But… there are not two. Only one is real. The other is a dream, a convincing play with lots of props, dramatic lighting, and a stubborn director: the ego.

Why peace won’t come from within conflict

We’ve tried it all: a little self-help here, a few affirmations there, oat milk cappuccinos to comfort the body. But finding peace from a belief in two opposite selves is like teaching a fish to fly or a bird to swim. It just doesn’t match their nature.

The Course puts it beautifully:

“Problems that have no meaning cannot be solved within the framework in which they are set.”

In other words: as long as we believe in separation, we’ll keep looking for solutions to a problem that was never real.

So what is this real Self?

Our one Self isn’t a collection of personality traits, diplomas, back pain, and a Pinterest board full of quotes. It is pure awareness, love, wholeness. The Self cannot be split. It is what you are before you thought you had to become anything.

The mind that confuses itself with the body gets lost. But that same mind, once it serves the Spirit again, regains its joy, its peace, its power. It becomes a channel of light, of love, of joy.

The challange today is important to higher your vibration: give yourself five minutes every hour. Just a moment to return inward. To the bridge between mind and Self. No intense meditation, no rituals. Just stillness and the words:

“Salvation comes from my one Self, Its Thoughts are mine to use.”

What means: “The peace I’m looking for is already inside me, not because I created it, but because it’s who I am.”

What a miracle that we’re invited to do this. And every time we do, a new treasure is stored in our heart.

The promise is clear: each time you go inward, your treasury of peace grows. And every gift you receive is automatically shared. Because salvation is not a possession, it is a flow. A shared awakening. Your Self wants only one thing: to extend in Love. And today, you are that extension.

So let’s stop trying to reconcile illusions. No more ego board meetings. Today we choose reality:

“I am one Self, united with my Creator, and salvation is already accomplished.”

The rest is silence. And a smile.

With love and light,

G.
