“I Am the Holy Son of God Himself.”

When we say something so important, most of us will add a: “but”….

…but I don’t feel it…..but I’m not worthy….but I make so many mistakes…

There is a quiet honesty in that “but”….

Almost everyone on the ACIM-path whispers it at least once a day.

Some fluently, some with a little embarrassment, and some only when nobody is listening…and often also the ego pops up like a jack-in-the-box and says : “Holy Son?…..You? 🤣🤣

Have you seen yourself this morning?”

And suddenly the halo tilts, the wings droop, and we spill coffee on our white shirt.

Again.

The Course never said that remembering Who we are feels natural to the ego. It can’t, because we are trying to recall something the ego was fiercely invented to hide.

So how do we keep faith when the world (and our inner critic) seems to

hand out little traps everywhere?

Let’s look at it…one honest breath at a time.

Faith is not a feeling. A feeling goes up and down like a yo-yo.

More like a spiritual weather report:

sunny in the morning, thunderstorms by lunchtime, and at night a gentle breeze of “I think I’m okay again.”

Faith is not that. Faith is a choice. A tiny quiet choice that says,

“I may not feel divine right now… but I will trust the part in me that knows.”

This is the moment the Holy Spirit smiles. Not when we feel holy,

but when we choose to remember in spite of not feeling holy.

Ego traps are not failures. They are reminders…little neon signs saying:

“You wandered off again… want to come back?”

The ego thinks traps prove we are unworthy.

The Spirit uses the very same moments to show that nothing has gone wrong. It is just another opportunity to practice.

If you step in a trap, don’t punish yourself, just notice it and laugh if you can.

Say something like : “Oh look, I fell for the ‘I’m not enough’ story again. That old movie.” ….then choose again.

Keeping faith is really keeping curiosity.

The Course tells us: you are still as God created You.

But we live in a world where we learned to trust mirrors that show only the body…and never the Light behind it.

Faith grows when you allow a different mirror, not the mirror of yesterday’s mistakes, or the mirror of someone’s criticism, but the mirror of quiet inner willingness. Even a tiny willingness is enough. It opens the door for a new perception to slip in.

A little humor helps too. If you catch yourself thinking,“A Holy Son of God would never forget his keys, lose his patience, burn his soup, or accidentally send the wrong message to the wrong person”…stop right there.

You are mistaking the Christ for a perfect housekeeper.

Holiness has nothing to do with the character in the dream

and everything to do with the one who is dreaming.

So how do we keep faith?

By remembering that faith is simply the decision to listen to the right voice.

The ego shouts: “You failed again.”

The Holy Spirit whispers: “You cannot fail to be what You already are.”

One voice is loud because it is empty.

The other is soft because it is True.

And every time you turn toward the soft voice, even for a second,

you confirm your Identity far more deeply than repeating any sentence.

In the end…You don’t need to feel like the Holy Son of God, you only need to be willing to accept the possibility that you are. The feeling comes later,

as a gentle side-effect of trust. And then one day, perhaps while you are making tea or closing the curtains,…..you pause, you feel a softness inside,

and you realize : yes I am the holy Son of God.

Just a small glimpse, but enough to steady the way forward.

With love and light,

G.
