God is my strength. Vision is His gift.

There is something very tender about this lesson.

It does not say: my intelligence, my discipline or even my spiritual practice is my strength.

It says: God is my strength.

And then it adds something very practical: Vision is His gift.

So what is Vision?

Vision, in ACIM is a different way of seeing.

It is perception healed of fear.

It is what remains when judgment softens. When attack is no longer interesting. When being right feels less important than being at peace.

Vision is what you see when you are not trying to defend yourself.

And here is the beautiful part: You do not create Vision..You receive it!

Most of us are trained to believe that strength means effort: Push through…analyze better…control more….prepare for every possible scenario.

But this lesson undoes that idea. If God is my strength, then I am not the source of my own power. I am the receiver of it. And if Vision is His gift, then I do not have to manufacture clarity. I only need to stop blocking it.

That is very different from trying to be spiritually impressive.

It is much simpler. It is closer to relaxing than achieving.

Think about an ordinary moment : Someone says something slightly critical…you immediately feel it in your body and your mind prepares a defense….a little courtroom opens inside you.

That is normal human seeing, but if you pause, even briefly, and remember:

God is my strength…..Vision is His gift !… Something shifts.

Instead of defending, you might suddenly see insecurity in the other person.

Or fear. Or simply a tired human being.

Nothing outside changed, but your seeing changed.

That is Vision!……It does not deny what happens, it sees deeper than what happens.

Vision is also deeply humbling, because it means I do not know on my own.

The ego hates that sentence : ‘I do not know.’

The ego prefers: I already understand, I have assessed the situation, I know who is wrong here.

Vision begins when that certainty loosens, and something larger looks through you. Not FROM you….THROUGH you.

There is also something very comforting in this lesson.: If God is my strength, then I am not alone in navigating this world.

If Vision is His gift, then clarity is not something I must earn. It is already given. The only thing that blocks it is fear. And fear is not a sin. It is simply

a habit….a very old habit.

The Course says that when the Son of God had the tiny idea of separation, he forgot to laugh. Perhaps Vision is what returns when we remember to laugh again. Not in a cynical way, but in a gentle way.

“Oh… I was defending an illusion again.”

That soft smile is already Vision beginning.

Vision makes you clear.

It does not remove your personality….It removes distortion.

It does not turn you into someone floating above life….it lets you stand in life without being shaken by every movement.

Because your strength is no longer personal…it is borrowed from Love itself.

So today, perhaps we do not try to see better.

Perhaps we simply become willing to see differently, not with effort, but with openness.

“Show me how to see this.”

That small willingness is enough.

Vision is not dramatic, It is quiet, it Ifeels like relief, and when it comes, even for a second, you recognize it immediately. It feels like home.

God is my strength.

Which means I do not have to hold everything together.

Vision is His gift.

Which means I do not have to figure everything out.

And maybe that is the most restful truth of all.

With love and light,

G.
