Before we dive into comparisons with A Course in Miracles, let’s take a step back in time, not just thousands of years, but into a space of myth, mystery, and memory. Enoch is one of those rare figures who bridges the human and the divine. Mentioned only briefly in the Bible, yet deeply revered in ancient mystical texts, Enoch is said to have “walked with God” and then disappeared — “for God took him.” He didn’t die in the usual sense. He ascended.
But who was he?
Enoch is traditionally known as the great-grandfather of Noah and appears early in the Book of Genesis. But his story expands magnificently in the Book of Enoch — a collection of ancient writings excluded from the canonical Bible but preserved in Ethiopian and other traditions. Here, Enoch becomes a seer, a scribe of heaven, a cosmic traveler guided by angels, and even a divine messenger to humanity. In some traditions, he is transformed into the archangel Metatron — the celestial scribe, recording the deeds of men and guiding divine order.
He is not just a figure of myth, but a symbol of the awakened human — someone who “remembered” his origin and returned consciously to God. Enoch’s journey is one of integration — of merging the human and the divine, walking in this world while remembering the eternal.

Messages from a Man Between Worlds
1.There Are Realms Beyond the Physical
Enoch’s journeys take him through layers of heaven, where he encounters angelic beings, divine councils, and cosmic laws. He describes dimensions invisible to human eyes, yet deeply connected to our world. His message: the physical world is not all there is. Reality is vast, multilayered, and filled with light.
2.The Human Heart is Seen by Heaven
One of Enoch’s central teachings is that nothing goes unnoticed. Not in a fearful, judgmental way — but in the sense that every thought, every intention, every action resonates in the great field of consciousness. Purity, humility, and love are more powerful than rituals or status.
3.We Are Surrounded by Helpers
Throughout his visions, Enoch is guided by angelic beings. These messengers help him navigate spiritual truths and cosmic dimensions. Enoch shows us that humanity is never truly alone — divine help is always present, even if unseen.
4.Time is a Spiral, Not a Line
Enoch’s visions are filled with references to cycles, ages, and the unfolding of divine timing. He perceives time not as linear but as layered and meaningful — echoing the idea that everything is happening now in different layers of awareness.
5.Divine Justice is Loving, Not Punitive
While Enoch speaks of consequences, fallen angels, and cleansing of the earth, there is a deep tone of restoration, not punishment. The universe seeks balance and awakening, not revenge. Correction comes from love, not wrath.
6.Ascension is the Human Destiny
Perhaps the most inspiring teaching: Enoch didn’t die — he ascended. He became light, transformed, remembered who he was. This principle is not unique to him. It echoes across mystical traditions: the human being is a divine spark, and our ultimate purpose is to awaken and return consciously to Source.

A Meeting of Heaven and Earth
1.Realms Beyond the Physical
Enoch walked in heavenly dimensions, and so does the mind trained by the Course. ACIM teaches that the world we see is an illusion — a projection of the ego — and that real vision comes from the Holy Spirit. Enoch’s heavenly journeys echo this idea: the “real world” is not found with the body’s eyes but is perceived with inner sight.

Enoch’s idea that “Heaven sees the heart” aligns beautifully with ACIM’s emphasis on inner willingness over outer form. In the Course, the only real measure is the extent to which we choose love over fear. It’s not about behavior or form — it’s about the intention and the presence behind it.

3.Divine Companionship
Enoch walked with angels; ACIM teaches that we walk with the Holy Spirit. Both paths affirm that we are not alone, and that divine help is always available. Whether we call them angels, guides, or Holy Spirit, the truth is the same: guidance comes when we quiet the ego and listen.

4.Time as Illusion
Enoch experienced time as a spiral — ACIM goes even further by declaring time as wholly illusory. The Course teaches that time was made by the ego to delay awakening, but can be repurposed by the Holy Spirit to serve healing. The eternal now — which Enoch glimpsed — is our true home.

5.Correction, Not Condemnation
Where Enoch speaks of divine justice, the Course brings a radical message: there is no sin, only error. And error can be corrected through forgiveness. Enoch’s view of justice as a restoring force is beautifully aligned with the Course’s insistence that God does not judge, but heals.

6.Ascension as Destiny
Enoch ascended — body and soul transformed into light. ACIM speaks of the resurrection of the mind, not the body, but the goal is the same: awakening to our true Self. Ascension, in the Course, is the end of all illusions, the recognition of perfect oneness with God.
“Salvation is a promise, made by God, that you would find your way to Him at last.” – ACIM.
Final Thought:
While Enoch may have been taken into Heaven, A Course in Miracles invites us to bring Heaven into our minds now. Enoch shows the path of awe and vision, Thoth brings the wisdom of cosmic law, Hermes offers the language of transformation — and ACIM offers the daily practice of quiet forgiveness and inner stillness.
Though they speak with different voices and symbols, they all point to the same eternal truth:
You are not what you think you are. You are Light, and you are already Home.
The ancient scribes and messengers — Enoch, Thoth, Hermes — wrote of divine mysteries.
The Course whispers that the greatest mystery is not hidden in the stars or the heavens…
It is hidden in plain sight — in your own mind, waiting to be remembered.
