Sometimes, when life feels like a long uphill road, itās comforting to imagine that something greater walks with usā¦not as a figure in the sky, but as a quiet Presence that knows us better than we know ourselves.
A Course in Miracles calls that Presence God, but if the word āGodā is still a difficult word for you, you can call it Love, Light, or simply Home.
Whatever the name, itās the same Source that breathed life into us and never stopped loving us.
The Course says, āYou communicate fully with God, as He does with you.ā
That might sound unreachable, but it isnāt.
It doesnāt mean that the small self, the one juggling daily worries, suddenly starts hearing heavenly voices.
It means that deep within, beneath all the noise, thereās a place in us that never stopped communicating with Love.
Itās the quiet awareness that sometimes rises when we forgive, when we let go, or when we look at someone and suddenly see innocence instead of guilt.
Thatās what forgiveness really isā¦.not a holy act, but a return to sanity.
Itās saying: I donāt need to carry this pain anymore. I prefer peace.
Each time we do that, the static clears a little, and the original connection, the one that was never truly broken, shines through.
And hereās the miracle: once that light begins to flow, it doesnāt stop with us.
Love naturally extends itself.
We start creating like God, not by making things, but by giving what we are: kindness, joy, patience, laughter, gentleness.
We become a quiet creator of peace.
This is how the Kingdom growsā¦not somewhere far away, but right here, in every act of love that expects nothing in return.
The Course also says that God takes the last step toward us.
It doesnāt mean we must wait for Him to show up; it means that Love never stopped reaching out.
Even while we dream of separation, Godās hand is already holding ours.
When at last we stop struggling to āfindā Him, we realize He was never lost.
So perhaps the invitation of this chapter is simply this:
We are not a body trying to reach Heaven ā¦we are Heaven remembering itself.
And every time we choose love instead of fear, we take a step that was never really needed⦠because in truth, we were already there.
With love and light,
G.
