By Gonny Imagine you finished the text of A Course in Miracles… or almost finished.
You’ve done quite well with the Workbook, maybe even started reading the Manual for Teachers. You’ve joined a few retreats, listened to some talks, sat in quiet moments…… and then suddenly, something happens, not dramatic, not loud , just a deep sense inside that whispers:
“I want to live this.”
“There must be another way.”
“I want to see things differently.”
And just like that, you became a Teacher of God.
No certificate. No robe. No ceremony. Just willingness. And that willingness?
It does something. It stirs the water. It moves the unseen.
Not something you control or manage or understand. But something that carries you.
First softly…then with more clarity…more strength. You notice something is shifting inside of you.
At first life doesn’t get easier. In fact, it may shake you. Things fall apart or quietly fall away. You loose old friends.
The grip of the past begins to loosen. What once held meaning feels empty and old patterns start surfacing. But in that emptiness, something ancient rises…not panic, but TRUST.
You start to admit:
“I don’t know what anything is for.” And in that knowing you begin to listen.
Then comes another movement, an unexpected one: you feel HONESTY.
Not the kind where you confess sins or tell everyone your opinion, but the honesty of not pretending anymore.
-pretending you understand what’s happening.
-pretending you’re okay when you’re not.
-pretending to know who you are.
And this honesty helps to become TOLERANT..the others feel it. New encounters…new moments. People start to trust you.
Because you’ve stopped performing.
Now slowly, that honesty and tolerance make space for something else…GENTLENESS.
You don’t push…you stop fixing…you learn the power of being kind without being naïve.
You realize peace doesn’t come from control, but from surrender.
This taste JOY …not the loud, laughing kind, but the quiet certainty that Love is here.
And resistance has fallen away, and something in you knows.
This knowing brings DEFENSELESSNESS.
You don’t need to justify, to argue, to convince anyone.
You simply shine, you are present . And this presence teaches more than your words ever could.
Now GENEROSITY flows. You give and extend, because you know it can’t run out.
Then comes PATIENCE. You’re no longer in a hurry. You trust the timing of the Holy Spirit.
You stop pushing people to awaken.
You stop pushing yourself.
You wait…not passively, but with deep inner peace.
You begin to see that everything is perfectly and feel… AVAILABLE.
Available to be used by Love. And so FAITHFULNESS arises,
not as loyalty to a person or idea, but as your quiet yes, every day,
to the Voice of Truth in you. And OPEN-MINDEDNESS makes space for your willing to see if diffentltly…a l w a y s.
So if you’ve ever said,
“There must be another way…”
Let it carry you. Let it teach you. Let it undo you.
And let it bring you back….not to a new identity,
but to the One you never lost….: The Son of God.
