What does that even mean and is it really possible?

Well, let me start here: if the past was a friend, it would be that one who never stops talking about what happened in 1967. And the future? That’s the nervous planner who’s already worried about what you’re going to eat next Thursday.

Meanwhile, we all know, the present moment is just… here.

Not shouting or waiting. Just quietly available. Like the cat sitting on the windowsill, watching you fuss around and wondering when you’ll notice her.

Living in the now doesn’t mean we erase the past or pretend we don’t have to plan. It just means we stop making those voices the boss of us. We don’t have to kick them out…we just don’t give them the microphone anymore.

So yes, it’s possible. Not all day, every day, in some perfect enlightened glow, but in little moments. Like when you notice your tea is too warm. Or when you actually feel your feet touching the floor. Or when you suddenly catch yourself taking life way too seriously and burst out laughing.

And about reading A Course in Miracles every day…does that mean we’re stuck in the past? Not really.

For many of us, the Course is like a friend who never tells you the same thing twice, even if the words haven’t changed. Somehow, it always feels new. Fresh. Like Truth putting on a different hat just to keep things interesting.

Eckhart Tolle says the now is where everything real happens. It’s not a place you go to…it’s what’s left when you stop trying to be somewhere else.

So, is it possible to live in the now?

Yes. At least for a moment.

And if we forget… well, we can always start again. That’s the beauty of now. It’s never offended if we left…it just says, “Welcome back.”

With love and light,

G.
