Are we all Slaves ? Old chains in new disguises.

There was a time when slavery was visible. You could see it: chains, whiplashes, markets where people were sold like furniture. Great buildings, palaces, even pyramids (although I think they were build by an ancient culture, but let’s just pretend😉) , were erected on the backs of those who were not allowed to say no.

And the masters? They didn’t work. They calculated. They bought, sold, and elevated themselves to gods, often literally.

History condemns that time. Rightfully so.

But what if I told you that slavery still exists?

That the pyramid is still standing, only now its stones are digital, its chains made of debt, contracts, and beliefs?

And the slaves? They think they’re free, because they’re being paid.

Infact the big guy says: “ But they’re paid, right?”

A sentence like a sheer curtain hanging in front of a grand theater stage. Because what is a paycheck if you trade your time, your joy, your health, and your soul’s purpose for it?

Modern slavery is a system. One you quietly step into on Monday morning with your coffee mug and your security badge. You dream of retirement, paid holidays, and someday… freedom. But meanwhile, you keep building that pyramid, invisible, but just as real. And at the top? A few billionaires with a view. At the bottom? You. And millions with you.

But here comes the shift, the one A Course in Miracles always points to:

You are not a body. You are FREE !

You are not a cog in a machine. You are not an employee, a consumer, or a pawn.

You are the Son of God. Free. Unlimited. Perfect.

Slavery doesn’t end when the system changes. It ends when you no longer see the system as real. When you choose to see the Truth:

That nothing real can be threatened,

and nothing unreal exists.

The modern master is not the billionaire. It’s the thought that whispers, “You need this to be happy.”

The modern chain is the thought that thinks : “I have no choice.”

And modern liberation? That’s the moment you listen, not to the world, but to Love.

So today, whether you’re sitting at your desk or standing in line at the store, whisper gently:

I no longer build pyramids.

I am free because I have remembered the Truth.

And allow a smile. That’s your first stone,

but on the other side now: the foundation of a world without slaves.

With love and light,

G.
